You know you're tough when...

Posted by publisher in In the News

Word on the street, (eh..on the news), is longtime downtown patron and past employee Dustin Gooden aka "Dirty Dusty" was arrested and charged with a felony for punching a punching bag video game at The Main Street Bistro early Thursday morning.  If the damage exceeds $1k then it could cost him up to five years in jail.  OVER. A. VIDEO. GAME.  Apparently the video game was winning which is a perfectly good reason to go into a rage and break it.  Yes, that's it, it was the video game's fault.  He doesn't need anger management.  Please don't hurt us.

Baby Baby Baby!

Posted by admin in In the News

Arguably Boise's most loved and recognized News Anchor, Maggie O'Mara, has had her first child! Newschannel 7's Morning Anchor had baby Johnny Cash Warren on June 8th at St. Al's. And he's perfect! Take a look!

Congrats to the proud Mama. She reports she is up at odd hours of the night, but it's no different than being up at 3 am for the Morning News!

PS - His name isn't really Johnny Cash Warren. His name is Cash, an original name for once! We give him, his name and his adorable face two thumbs up.

Urban Lindsay for President!

Posted by admin in In the News

Lindsay Dofelmeier of the Urban Agent Real Estate Team was asked to testify against breastfeeding in public earlier this month on Capitol Hill.

Not really, although she would have been very persuasive in that argument as well.

Check out Boise's own Lindsay Dofelmeier making Boise proud as she knocks the socks of Congress:

And by the way, you can follow Lindsay on twitter at @Urban_Lindsay. She's entertaining to say the least. We think these old boring farts have never been so wowed by a woman with hot pink hair.

Palin and Big J to reconnect their love??

Posted by publisher in In the News

Unless you are currently living under a rock, you have probably heard Mrs. Palin graced us with her presence today in support of Republican Congressional Candidate Vaughn Ward at Qwest Arena.  Some interesting things you probably didn't know - you can find here. Also, we hear she had to borrow clothes this morning, apparently her bags didn't make it in time.  And finally, the very candidate she is here supporting didn't even vote for her and Mr. McCain during the 08' Presidential General Election.  Interesting.  All so interesting.

As you know, Keke Luv of 103.3 Kiss FM is staying awake and live on the radio for EIGHT days straight right now for Child Abuse Prevention. The last 24 hours will be his hardest and will be dedicated to Robert Manwill. In order to help KeKe stay encouraged, his supporters are holding a candlelight vigil. Here are the details:

Thursday Night, April 15 8:00 pm
827 E. Park Blvd. Next to The Ram
Please bring your own candle

This is a great cause, Keke is getting national attention and is bringing much needed focus on a common problem, especially in our State. Let's help him stay awake to break his own world record!

Go KeKe Go!

Posted by admin in In the News

Our very own KeKe Luv of 103.3 Kiss Fm is at it again, breaking his OWN world record! He'll be staying awake for EIGHT straight days (beating his previous record of seven days) broadcasting live the entire time all in the name of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

PLUS, he's doing it all without any energy drinks or alcohol. There are strict rules involved, including the requirement to come on the air after every song to let listeners know he is still awake. You can always check up on him by watching his video blogs or streaming video, both of which you can find on www.1033kissfm.com

This is just completely insane. But all for a good cause. We think he needs to be on Oprah.

Go KeKe Go!

AJ English is unfortunately from Boise

Posted by admin in In the News

Making the front page of TMZ and causing loads of controversy for poor Taylor Swift these last couple of days is a local bloke named AJ English. AJ, 20 years old, has left B-town and ventured out on his own, doing quite amazing for himself in LA modeling. But making headlines for loving Nazi's is not the kind of headlines we were hoping from out of AJ.

Case and point. AJ with Taylor Swift at Katy Perry's Birthday Party on Oct 24th. The publication of this picture has caused massive ripple effects for Taylor, defending herself that she is not supportive of swastikas by releasing a statement through her Rep that basically said "Taylor barely knows the guy and didn't realize what was on his shirt when the photograph was taken."

So how well DOES Boisean AJ English know Superstar Taylor Swift?

AJ tweeted to Taylor earlier that day saying:

@taylorswift13 coming to katys birthday party tonight

Then following the incident, said this on his twitter page:

Front page of TMZ.... sorry Taylor...

Who is this guy making enemies with America's Sweetheart and making it look as though Idahoans sport Swastikas?!  AJ's Myspace avatar is also a swastika. What we know is that AJ went to Eagle High School and has been in Pink music videos and modeled for HUGE names such as Alexander McQueen and others. The kid is talented and clearly going places, but not very far or very fast by pissing off the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. AJ, make us Idahoans proud, not embarrassed.

Gearing up for an Emmy win

Posted by admin in In the News

The Emmy's are this Sunday and as we all know, our local Golden Boy Aaron Paul is nominated for an Emmy for his role in Breaking Bad. Aaron graduated from Centennial High and can often be found on a bar stool in the Red Room when in town visiting family. We're rooting for the Boise Native! And how cute is it that he's taking his Mom as his date. I mean, really. We love that.

Get that Emmy, Aaron! You deserve it!

Here is a link to the Interview we did with Aaron

And here is a link to an Interview the New York Times just did with Aaron (similar to FameFifteen interviewing him)
